Male attitudes to violence against women

What do men think about violence against women?

Everywhere in the world, women are routinely subjected to violations of their basic human rights. Acts of sexual assault, domestic abuse, harassment and general violence are commonplace. Violence against women and girls is a huge problem. At least one out of every three women around the world has been beaten, forced into sex or abused in some other way physically, often the abuser is someone she knows. This violence reflects pervasive gender inequality worldwide.

Project Monma is going to investigate male perspectives on violence against women and try understand why men think that violence and discrimination against women is so pervasive.
